How the directory works
PocketWorld imports public station metadata, normalizes country and language labels, and groups endpoints into a map and searchable catalog. Station names, descriptions and logos remain associated with their original owners. The displayed catalog count reflects the current loaded directory, not a promise that every endpoint will play from every country.
When a listener selects a station, PocketWorld retrieves the listed stream on demand through a bounded same-origin security proxy. PocketWorld does not originate or archive the program. A stream can fail because of broadcaster maintenance, geographic restrictions, an expired endpoint, transport policy or codec support.
Understanding working status
A recent health check is useful evidence, but live streams can change between checks. The interface separates working, favorite and recent filters and keeps a report path for records that are permanently broken or mislabeled. Temporary downtime is not silently converted into another station.
